Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Maine Physical Therapist license prior to the start of the assignment.
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted).
• Minimum 1 year outpatient physical therapy experience required.
• Experience treating adults and school-aged patients with post-orthopedic, post-spinal surgery, geriatric, work-related, and neurologic balance diagnoses.
• Competence in manual therapy, exercise prescription, patient education, and training on adaptive equipment (walkers, canes, crutches).
• Ability to use Cerner PowerChart or aptitude to learn the EMR.

Preferred Qualifications

• Outpatient therapy experience beyond the minimum.
• Experience working in rural community settings.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0800-1600.
• Preferred schedule: 5x8, facility open to 4x10 arrangements.
• Weekend rotation: No.
• On call: No.
• Orientation: New employee orientation with 1 to 1.5 weeks unit orientation and partnered mentoring.
• Team structure: Department includes 4 PTs, 2 PTAs, OT and SLP presence, and at least one assistant supervisor; manager available by phone.
• Floating: No.
• EMR: Cerner PowerChart.
• Scrub policy: Any solid color scrubs or business casual. Parking: Free.

Impacting Patient Care

Join a team providing outpatient physical therapy services in a community setting. You will manage a caseload that includes post-operative orthopedic care, spinal rehab, geriatrics, work injuries, and balance/neurologic conditions. Your role will include hands-on treatment, therapeutic exercise progression, and patient education to support functional independence.
