Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Maine Physical Therapist license prior to the start of the assignment.
- BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted).
- Minimum 1 year outpatient physical therapy experience required.
- Experience treating adults and school-aged patients with post-orthopedic, post-spinal surgery, geriatric, work-related, and neurologic balance diagnoses.
- Competence in manual therapy, exercise prescription, patient education, and training on adaptive equipment (walkers, canes, crutches).
- Ability to use Cerner PowerChart or aptitude to learn the EMR.
Preferred Qualifications
- Outpatient therapy experience beyond the minimum.
- Experience working in rural community settings.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 0800-1600.
- Preferred schedule: 5x8, facility open to 4x10 arrangements.
- Weekend rotation: No.
- On call: No.
- Orientation: New employee orientation with 1 to 1.5 weeks unit orientation and partnered mentoring.
- Team structure: Department includes 4 PTs, 2 PTAs, OT and SLP presence, and at least one assistant supervisor; manager available by phone.
- Floating: No.
- EMR: Cerner PowerChart.
- Scrub policy: Any solid color scrubs or business casual. Parking: Free.

Impacting Patient Care
Join a team providing outpatient physical therapy services in a community setting. You will manage a caseload that includes post-operative orthopedic care, spinal rehab, geriatrics, work injuries, and balance/neurologic conditions. Your role will include hands-on treatment, therapeutic exercise progression, and patient education to support functional independence.
