Description
We are hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Portland, OR. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assist patients in regaining skills for daily living through therapeutic exercises, activities, and patient/family education. New graduates are welcome. Please review the minimum qualifications and assignment details below.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Oregon required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
- Ability to document patient progress and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in rehabilitation therapy within skilled nursing facilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience with common SNF documentation systems preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift Hours: 8-hour day shift.
- Float required to other clinics within the organization.
- Guaranteed hours listed in order notes; overtime applies after 40 hours.

Impacting Patient Care
Join a team focused on coordinated, patient-centered care in skilled nursing. You will implement individualized therapy plans under the supervising Occupational Therapist, monitor and document patient progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal outcomes.
