Description

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist team in Colorado Springs, CO at an outpatient facility where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing a new location. Evaluate assigned patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and provide discipline-specific direction to support patient return to community activities. Complete timely, accurate documentation including evaluations, goals, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in student education and maintain professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations. Adhere to state Practice Act, professional codes of conduct, and organizational safety and compliance expectations.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active Colorado state PT license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
  • Experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred.
  • Skill in completing comprehensive evaluations, clinical reasoning, treatment planning, and functional goal writing.
  • Demonstrated competency with documentation, quality indicator assessment, and insurance/physician order compliance.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with 60-minute initial evaluations and 30-minute follow-up treatment sessions preferred.
  • Prior experience supervising students or providing clinical education preferred.
  • Demonstrated participation in performance improvement initiatives preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Schedule format: 5x8 (five 8-hour shifts per week).
  • Location: Colorado Springs, CO outpatient setting.
  • Must follow clinic guidelines for personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
