Physical Therapist - Skilled Nursing Facility (Travel)
Seeking a Physical Therapist to provide rehabilitative care to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting in Kalamazoo, MI. The clinician will evaluate, plan, and deliver therapeutic interventions to support recovery from injury and management of chronic conditions. Professional documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adherence to facility and regulatory policies are required. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Michigan Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred.
- Experience with standard SNF documentation, restorative programs, and common geriatric diagnoses preferred.
- Ability to perform patient transfers and use of assistive equipment such as gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and walkers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
- Experience with progressive mobility programs and fall prevention initiatives preferred.
