Description
Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in Bowling Green, KY. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily skills while working in a long term acute care hospital setting and exploring a new location.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Kentucky Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient neuro settings preferred; clinical rotation in outpatient neuro acceptable.
- Experience with assessment, individualized treatment planning, discharge planning, and documentation in an acute or long-term care setting.
- Experience supervising COTAs and OT students, or demonstrated ability to orient and mentor staff and students.
- Ability to participate in interdisciplinary team processes and to provide patient/family education and adaptive equipment recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in neuro rehabilitation and outpatient neuro practice preferred.
- Familiarity with safe patient handling techniques and materials handling preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8.
- Setting: Long term acute care hospital, with emphasis on neuro outpatient experience.
- May be required to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students.
