Description
Physical Therapist — Outpatient, Aurora, CO
Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and individualized treatment plans to outpatient adults and other populations as assigned. Conduct 60-minute initial evaluations and 30-minute follow-up treatment sessions. Document care in a timely manner and collaborate with physicians, patients, families, students, and interdisciplinary staff. Maintain professional licensure and comply with state practice acts, organizational policies, and safety protocols. Participate in performance improvement and student training activities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Colorado Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy required. Must be able to perform 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow-ups.
- Ability to complete timely, accurate documentation including goals, functional assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in accordance with clinic and payer requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement functional treatment programs focused on safe return to community activities.
- Demonstrated competency in safe patient handling and infection control practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising and mentoring students in a clinical setting.
- Prior experience working in an outpatient clinic with a 40-hour work week and productivity expectations.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 5x8 structure.
- Patient visit timing: 60-minute initial evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visits.
