Physical Therapist — Outpatient — Fort Worth, TX
Seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide outpatient care focused on neurology specialty patients. The clinician will evaluate assigned patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, document care, supervise discipline-specific therapy services, and contribute to patient and employee safety initiatives. The role includes student supervision as assigned and participation in professional development and performance improvement activities. Applicants should be prepared to follow organizational policies, state practice acts, and documentation requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Texas physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, including experience in neurology specialty.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient therapy settings and competency with comprehensive evaluations, goal writing, functional outcome assessment, and documentation compliant with payer and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to supervise and delegate to therapy assistants and students, and to participate in performance improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel or contract therapy experience.
- Experience with safe patient handling techniques and materials handling programs.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: Four 9-hour shifts plus one 4-hour shift on Friday.
- Duration: 13 week assignment.
- Facility type: Outpatient clinic environment.
