Physical Therapist - Outpatient - Plano, TX
Join a busy outpatient clinic in Plano, TX as a Physical Therapist. Provide evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and modify care based on patient needs and physician direction. Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services and design functional treatment programs to support patients returning to community activities. Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and colleagues. Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational policies and applicable codes of conduct. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrate safety awareness in patient handling, materials handling, infection control, and workplace safety.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Texas Physical Therapy license required prior to start of assignment.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred.
- Competence in completing comprehensive evaluations, writing measurable goals, and developing treatment plans focused on functional outcomes.
- Proficiency with medical record documentation, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
- Ability to supervise students and provide appropriate learning objectives and evaluations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel or contract therapy experience.
- Experience with performance improvement initiatives and quality outcomes tracking.
- Experience working with a broad adult outpatient population and returning patients to community activities.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Setting: Outpatient clinic in Plano, TX.
