Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Active Kansas SLP license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
- Experience managing dysphagia evaluations and treatment, tracheostomy and ventilator-related communication, and cognitive-communication disorder interventions preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams preferred.
Assignment Details
- 5 days per week, 32 hours guaranteed (schedule reflects four 8-hour or five-day coverage as determined by facility).
- Facility requires coverage within a skilled nursing environment; candidate may be expected to float to other nearby facilities if needed.

Impacting Patient Care
Provide evidence-based SLP services to improve patients’ quality of life in a skilled nursing setting. Deliver individualized assessment and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders. Collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation teams to support safe discharge planning and continuity of care.
