Description
Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join as a traveling Physical Therapist supporting an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit in Rochester, NH. You will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while working with an experienced, multidisciplinary team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active New Hampshire physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Inpatient care experience required; open to candidates who will accept training and mentorship.
- Experience documenting in electronic health records preferred; familiarity with Expanse is preferred.
- Comfort working collaboratively with PTs/OTs/PTAs, SLPs, RNs, LPNs, and patient care technicians.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience treating neurologic patients preferred.
- Previous experience in acute rehab or inpatient rehabilitation settings preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 08:00–16:00.
- Schedule may include a weekend shift.
- Float to medical-surgical units if inpatient rehab census is low.
- Documentation system used: Expanse.
- Typical patient-to-therapy ratio approximately 5:1.

Impacting Patient Care
Provide patient-centered physical therapy services on an inpatient rehabilitation unit. Work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver PT, OT, and SLP service lines. Contribute to strong patient experience through communication, rounding, and excellent customer service. The unit uses state-of-the-art equipment and emphasizes teamwork, low turnover, and positive patient outcomes.
