Hiring Profile:
• Must Have Skills/Experience: WILL ACCEPT AN ICU NURSE OR STEPDOWN NURSE
Stepdown, Critical Care, blood administration, electrolyte replacement, neuro assessment skills, central line dressing changes, high risk and hazardous drug administration.
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Oncology/Hematology experience, chemotherapy administration, BMT experience, critical care experience including vents and drips,
• Type of Patients on Unit: Hematology and Bone marrow transplant patients requiring blood and electrolyte replacement, neuro assessments, long term IV therapy, chemotherapy, and physical therapy needs.
• Personality Fit: Asks questions, team player, takes on new challenges and looks for new skills to learn, stays off cell phone and helps others without having to be asked. Provides updates and uses experience on the unit to learn instead of doing things on their own. Know what they don’t know. Willing to go above and beyond with patients who are here long term. Should have a heart for patient care and treat patients like guests in their home. Also treat staff with respect and kindness.
