Job Title
Social Worker – Licensed Clinical / Mental Health (Psychiatric Emergency)
Location
Spokane, WA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights (4x10-Hour Shifts, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct crisis risk assessments for both adult and pediatric patients in an emergency department setting
- Provide clinical social work, mental health counseling, or therapy services within the Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room
- Float between units within the contracted facility as needed based on staffing levels
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient mental health and disposition planning
- Document clinical interactions and assessments accurately using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Full, unrestricted state licensure required — associate or provisional licensure will not be accepted
- Must hold one of the following licenses: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Valid Washington State license or compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience
- Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior hospital or acute care setting experience, particularly in an emergency department
- Experience performing crisis risk assessments with both adult and pediatric populations
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
