Job Title

Sterile Processing Technician

Location

Charleston, SC | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap of surgical instruments and equipment
Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential assignment to alternate campuses
Support a high-volume Level I Trauma Center environment across a range of surgical specialties
Participate in holiday rotation and inclement weather response teams as assigned by management
Adhere to strict attendance and punctuality standards per facility policy

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of sterile processing technician experience required — first-time travelers not accepted
Level I Trauma Center experience required>
Hands-on experience in sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly/wrapping required
Active CBSPD and/or HSPA national certification required
Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedic, Transplant, or GYN surgical cases
Familiarity with teaching facility and Magnet-designated hospital environments
Ability to adapt to floating assignments across multiple campuses or units
