Sterile Processing Technician
Location
Olympia, WA | Short Term Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Evenings | Friday – Monday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (3x9-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sterile processing and decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment in a short-term acute care setting
- Ensure proper sterilization techniques and compliance with facility protocols
- Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation as required
- May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience required
- Active CBSPD or CRCST certification required
- Valid state license or compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront at the time of submittal; post-offer RTO may not be considered
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — candidates with a permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of sterile processing experience preferred
- Prior experience with EPIC charting system
- Experience in an acute care hospital environment
