Description
Mammography Coordinator traveler for an 8-week contract.
Schedule: 8 weeks: 4x10s, Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-5:00pm.
This position is responsible for coordinating the performance of the mammographic program under the direction of the Imaging Director in conjunction with the Radiologist Medical Director. This includes shepherding patients through the full process of breast imaging and follow up including a full range of mammographic and osteoporosis exams in a safe and prudent manner for the specific purpose of producing the highest quality diagnostic exam and environment for the customer. The development and implementation of a sustained Samaritan Breast Health Program is of prime concern. The Coordinator will oversee the education of technologists in mammography skills and techniques and ensure compliance with Federal Regulations and Accreditation in Mammography in conjunction with the Imaging Director and Radiologist Medical Director.
Education: Graduated from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved program or the equivalent alternate training described under WAC 246-926-110 and RCW 18.84 from the State of Washington Department of Health.
Experience: Three years’ experience in the mammography field.
Certification: Registered – ARRT in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) required. Possess certification in mammography per FDA MQSA. BLS.
