Role Summary

• Cath Lab Tech for WV
• Unit: Cath Lab & IR
• 7 suites/labs: 2 cath labs and 7 holding rooms/bays

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in West Virginia
• Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ARRT (R)
• Driver's License
• IABP experience
• IVUS experience

Preferred

• Familiarity with Acist injector

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 0700-1530
• 10-hour day shifts
• Weekend requirement: Saturday/Sunday, 0700-0700
• Call requirement: Monday - Friday, 1530-0700, with weekends included
• 10-11 call shifts per month

Clinical Details

• Cath lab/IR techs scrub and monitor
• Common cases are adult cardiac cases, including peripheral, cardiac cath, PCI, and devices
• Additional notes: ICDs and pacers; no EP and no ablations

Floating

• May float to Non-Invasive CV to start IVs

Orientation

• 2 shifts with a preceptor, then buddy call for Cath Lab

Additional Notes

• Scrubs are provided
• COVID vaccine required
• Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
• Only 1 submission at a time across the WVU system
• Up to 2 candidates per opening may be submitted
• Unexpired copy of the candidate’s driver’s license must be included
• Background hits must be disclosed at submission
