Respiratory Therapist

Location: Peru, Illinois Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts Hours: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
• Active Illinois license, or confirmation that the licensing application has been initiated
• Must pass a drug screen with a negative result for all panels (drug-free campus)

Schedule and Call

• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Call-off allowance: equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks, with no penalty

Unit and Assignment

• Unit: 12-bed med/surge
• Small rural hospital
• May float to other units and departments (specific units not listed)
• Dress code: any color scrubs

Clinical Duties

• General respiratory therapy
• Nebulizers, ABGs, BiPAP, ventilators, Neopuff, high-flow therapy

Equipment

• Servo Classic, Servo Lite, V60, Parapac, Vapotherm, EKG

Orientation and Training

• 12 hours of orientation (non-billable)
• Supervisor trains staff on equipment and workflow
