Description
MedSurg/Tele Observation RN
- Location: Show Low, Arizona (White Mountains region)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours guaranteed with no cancellations
Unit and Staffing
- Unit: 10 beds, MedSurg with telemetry capability on all beds
- Urgent need: MedSurg/Tele travel nurses
- Support staff on unit: Tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights, 1-4 peds (also based on acuity)
- Nurse managers: Do not provide patient care but do rounds
- Float scope: All MS units and ICU (taking MS overflow patients)
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting
Work Environment and Logistics
- Dress code: Any color scrubs; scrubs are not provided
- Area: Outdoor activities, with Flagstaff and Phoenix about a couple of hours away
