Registered Nurse - IMC

Overview

• Location: Springfield, Illinois
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Position: IMC / general onsite telemetry
• Shift: Nights, 3x12 or 4x12 (18:45 to 07:15)
• Hours: 12 per day, 36 per week
• Unit census: Average daily census of 38
• Hospital: Acute care hospital, Level I trauma center, Magnet facility, 562 staffed beds
• Scrubs: Any solid color
• Parking: Permit required, no cost (completed during orientation)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience (2 years)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath care, including experience with post cardiac cath patients
• Post Cardiac Angiogram care
• Experience working with Cardiac Surgery patients
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Sheath removal
• TR band
• Feeding tube care and management
• Pre/Post Hemodialysis management
• Accessing ports
• Experience with Cerner

Scheduling and Logistics

• Not on-call
• Will float within scope to similar units as needed
• Block schedule requests are discussed with the manager
• Local candidates accepted, no radius restriction
• First-time travelers accepted
• RTO restrictions: ideally no more than 5 days
• Up to 36 hours may be called off over the 13-week assignment; if a candidate is placed on call instead of being called off, it counts as a called-off shift
• Submit answers on interview availability, housing review, and RTO/SD confirmation with submittal notes
