Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

• Specialty: RN Labor and Delivery (L&D)
• Location: Columbus, Ohio
• Shift: Night, 19:00 - 07:30
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with L&D experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (include a copy of the front and back of the card)
• ACLS certification
• NRP certification (required for RNs in the Birth Center)
• AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (NCC EFM)

Onboarding Requirements

• Health and immunizations:

  • COVID-19 vaccine (proof of the September 2025 booster, or a declination or exemption on agency letterhead)
  • MMR (proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer)
  • Influenza vaccine or declination/exemption for the 2025-2026 season
  • Varicella (proof of 1 vaccination or IgG titer)
  • Hepatitis B (3 doses or declination)
  • 2-step PPD or IGRA (within 30 or 90 days, depending on test type)
  • Tdap within the past 10 years (declination accepted only where the site allows and the assignment has no Pediatric interaction)
  • Fit test (3M 1860, 1860s, 1870+, 1804, or 1804s)
  • Color vision test
  • Physical exam within the past year documenting fitness to work
  • 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Background and screening (dated within 30 days of start unless noted):

  • Federal, nationwide, and county criminal check covering the past 7 years, plus SSN verification
  • NSO (sex offender registry) check
  • EPLS check (within 30 days)
  • GSA/OIG exclusion check (within 30 days)
  • Education verification (highest degree, or high school diploma/GED)
• Forms and agreements:

  • Confidentiality and information security agreement
  • Conflict of interest disclosure
  • Code of conduct
  • Integrity and audit services form (signed within days before start)
  • Standard I-9, completed by the agency
  • System access form (completed one week before start)
• Testing and checklists:

  • Joint Commission CORE exam within the past year
  • Skills checklist (provided by the agency for clinical contractors)
