Description

Registered Nurse, Medical Oncology

Location: Laramie, Wyoming
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Week: 36

Position Summary

Provides care to oncology patients in coordination with the entire Medical Oncology team, working directly with the Medical Oncologist.

Essential Functions

Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of patient care within scope of practice
Patient education according to individual needs
Transcribes, utilizes, and implements protocols and physician orders
Coordinates the healthcare team and delegates appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel
Ensures all care, treatment, and services meet current federal, state, and local standards, rules, regulations, and guidelines

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing
Current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and good standing with the Board of Nursing
Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or obtained within 60 days of hire and maintained throughout employment
Current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or obtained within one year of hire and maintained throughout employment
Infusion experience within the last year
Previous oncology experience
