Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist to join our clinical team. This role requires a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in pediatric CVOR, specifically in a first scrub role.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgical team by handing supplies to the surgeon and counting instruments.
• Conduct back table setup and support the surgical team as needed.
• Participate in the clinical care of patients ranging from neonates to adults, including those with congenital anomalies.
• Cross-train and assist in General OR cases when workload permits.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current WA State License.
• Experience scrubbing with various pediatric cardiothoracic cases, including but not limited to Tetralogy of Fallot, ECMO, and ASD repairs.
• Ability to handle developmental and congenital anomalies in patients.

Work Schedule and Expectations

• Typical working hours will be from 0630 to 1900.
• Participation in on-call rotation: one shift per week and two weekends within a six-week period.
• Respond to call within a 30-minute time frame.

Additional Information

• The surgical setting is a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with a Level IV NICU.
• Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system is preferred.
