Pediatric Cardiac Operating Room Nurse (CVOR)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Operating Room Nurse (CVOR) to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric cardiovascular operating room procedures, alongside excellent clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for neonates, infants, and pediatric patients with cardiovascular conditions.
  • Assist in various cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
    • Tetralogy of Fallot repairs
    • Pericardial window
    • Transposition of great vessels
    • Open heart valve repairs
    • ECMO management
    • PDA ligation via thoracotomy
    • ASD repairs
  • Use advanced clinical skills in IV insertion, scrubbing, and circulating in the operating room.
  • Float to general operating room as needed to assist with varying cases.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Pediatric CVOR.
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications required.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
  • Active RN license in Washington State or via a compact agreement.
  • Experience with patients who have developmental delays or congenital anomalies preferred.

Additional Information

  • Facility operates as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and has a Level IV NICU.
  • Weekend rotation consists of on-call responsibilities only, with a commitment to provide coverage.
  • Expect 1 on-call shift per week and 2 weekend call shifts in a 6-week period.
  • Shift times include 8-hour days (0630 – 1530) and 12-hour days (0645 – 1915).
  • Free parking available for all staff.
