School Nurse (LPN) – School Health Office | Full-Time | Clinic Setting

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the overall health and wellness of a school population in a health office/clinic setting. This role is ideal for an LPN who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working with students across all age groups.

This position serves the general student population, managing daily health needs, minor illnesses, and helping maintain a safe and healthy school environment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide care to students presenting with illness, injury, or general health concerns
Perform basic assessments and triage within LPN scope of practice
Administer medications in accordance with school policies and provider orders
Maintain accurate student health records and documentation
Support students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies)
Respond to emergencies and assist with coordination of care as needed
Promote health education and wellness within the school community
Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
Required Qualifications
Active LPN license (state-specific)
Pediatric or school nursing experience preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently within scope while knowing when to escalate
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Schedule Details
Monday–Friday, school-day hours
Follows the school calendar (holidays and breaks off)
No nights, weekends, or on-call requirements
Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)
Experience in a school, pediatric clinic, or outpatient setting
Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, or individualized health plans
Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR)
