About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Physical Therapist to join our home health team. The successful candidate will primarily work with adult patients and may occasionally treat school-aged children. This role involves assessing and planning therapeutic interventions for patients with a range of diagnoses, including post-ortho surgeries, mobility issues, and fall risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Maine
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• A valid driver’s license, car, and auto insurance
• 1 year of experience preferred, particularly in Home Health, though other PT experience will be considered

Patient Population:

• Primarily adults; occasional school-aged children
• Common diagnoses include post-surgical recovery, fall risks, and deconditioning

Work Environment:

• Patient load: 20-25 patients per therapist
• Support available from schedulers, leads, and supervisory staff via phone
• Use of Netsmart EMR for documentation

Travel Requirements:

This position will involve traveling across Aroostook County, potentially covering distances of 50-100 miles per day to meet patient needs.

Orientation and Training:

The selected candidate will undergo a comprehensive orientation program lasting 1-2 weeks to ensure familiarity with procedures and protocols.

Scheduling Details:

• Weekend rotation: 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks (Saturday and Sunday)
• Holiday availability is expected for major and minor holidays
• Flexible scheduling options: 0800-1700, with consideration for 4 10-hour shifts

• Dress code: Business casual or solid-colored scrubs
