Job Role
The Clinical Pharmacist provides consultative services and clinical expertise to evaluate and improve medication usage and therapeutic outcomes. Responsibilities include:
- Promoting continuous improvement within the pharmacy scope of practice.
- Processing orders and prescriptions to provide medications and pharmaceutical supplies as ordered by physicians and authorized medical practitioners.
- Advising physicians, healthcare staff, residents, and patients on the safe administration of medication.
- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures for medication safety, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Performing other job functions as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required; first-timers accepted.
- Pediatric experience is required.
- Tennessee licensure is required at the time of submission.
- Driver’s license must be included with submission.
Work Schedule
Weekend requirements as needed. Block scheduling is not accommodated.
Additional Information
This position is for a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission, as RTO sent after the offer will not be considered for approval.
