About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist with experience in diagnostic and interventional procedures. This role involves working in a busy Cath Lab environment, providing care for a variety of patient types and performing multiple cases daily.
Facility Overview
- Level III Trauma Center
- 375 licensed beds
- Covid vaccine required
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures including LHC/RHC, NSTEMI, STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotablator, CTOs, and more.
- Operate and scrub in during procedures, monitoring patients effectively.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including cardiologists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists.
- Participate in patient transport and care coordination.
Patient Types
The position will involve handling a range of patients requiring:
- Diagnostic and interventional catheterization (legs and heart)
- Electrophysiology procedures including Micra, pacemakers, AICDs, lead extractions, and generator changes
Daily Operations
On average, 8 cases are performed daily. The candidate should be comfortable and experienced with the equipment used in these procedures.
Qualifications
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- ARRT or RCIS license required
- Active state licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab experience required (2+ years for first-time travelers)
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring preferred
Technical Skills
The ideal candidate will be proficient with:
- Using EMR systems, specifically EPIC
- IV pumps (Alaris) and medication dispensing (Pyxis)
- Image management (PACS: Picom)
- Hemodynamic systems (Merge preferred, but not required)
Support and Resources
The Cath Lab team includes:
- Scheduler
- Charge nurse/Lead Tech
- 24/7 respiratory therapy and hospitalist support
- Access to intensivists and a rapid response team
Orientation and Schedule
Orientation will begin with a New Employee Orientation followed by training in the department. Schedule includes rotating shifts, weekend rotations, and holiday expectations. On-call duty is necessary for this role.

- Scrubs and lead will be provided, with extended sizing available.
