Position Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care for patients in need of emergency services.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Conduct thorough assessments and triage procedures to determine the severity of patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor and document patient progress and respond to changes in condition promptly.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding conditions and treatments.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and institutional policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of combined permanent nursing experience.
• Active Ohio nursing license or Compact State license required.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC from AHA or American Red Cross.
• Experience with electronic health records, specifically Epic.
• One recent reference from a supervisor, manager, or director in the specialty area is required for submission.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation, achieving acceptable scores.
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday.

Schedule

This position requires night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
