Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care in a dynamic medical environment. This role requires critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure while delivering high-quality nursing care.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical/surgical telemetry unit.
Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry readings, interpreting data and identifying potential issues.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions and post-discharge care.
Maintain accurate and updated patient records.
Participate in departmental meetings and continuing education activities.

Qualifications

Minimum of 18 months of professional experience in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry setting.
Valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Shift Information

This position involves working night shifts, consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Contract Details

This is a 13 to 20-week contract opportunity.
