We are seeking an experienced Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12 Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, weekdays, with some weekends required
• Patient Ratio: Typically 1:4; may flex to 1:5 during emergencies
• Blocked Schedule Consideration: Weekend blocks (Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon) available

Unit Information

The Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit primarily caters to patients with varying acuity levels, often including individuals who may be classified as Progressive Care or Tele patients in larger healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Certifications Required: BCLS, ACLS
• Skills Required:
  • IV start
  • Telemetry monitoring
• Experience Required:
  • 1.5 - 2+ years of nursing experience
  • 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
  • 2 years of experience in Stepdown care
  • Ability to interpret cardiac strips
• Travel Experience: Not required
• Scrubs: Not provided; burgundy and/or white scrubs required
• EMR System: Cerner
