Position Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry. The nurse will be part of a Resource Pool, working primarily at designated locations but may be required to float to additional units as needed.

Shift and Schedule

• Night shifts: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
• Open to 48-hour shifts as well
• No block scheduling available

Holiday Requirements

Holiday coverage options include:

• One holiday with two on-call/additional shifts every six weeks
• Two holidays with no on-call/additional shifts required

Key Responsibilities

The RN will be required to:

• Float between multiple locations as necessary
• Know the assigned schedule in advance
• Adhere to staffing ratios of 1:6

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Weekend availability as needed
• Certification requirements include:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIH Stroke Scale

Additional Information

• Participation in an on-call rotation may be required for holiday coverage
• Passing an arrhythmia and medication test is mandatory on the first day
• Shaving may be required to complete a fit test; failure to do so will result in disqualification
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be included in the initial application; changes post-submission will not be considered
• Guaranteed hours are based on signed contract hours
• Attendance policy: More than two missed shifts within a 13-week contract period may result in contract review and cancellation
