Overview

We are seeking a qualified Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced medical-surgical telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing patients with varying medical conditions and an understanding of telemetry monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in a medical-surgical telemetry setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs and detect any changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient care and progress in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure positive patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health issues and post-discharge care.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE an active and valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
• A minimum of 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele experience is required.
• Current AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
• Recent Epic charting experience within the last 6 months is required.
• Ability to work at least every other holiday is necessary.
• A recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required for submission.

Shift Information

• Night shift, consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Assessment Requirements

During orientation, participants must complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment, achieving acceptable scores on both.
