Position Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while complying with protocols and procedures.

Shift Details

• Shift: 3x12 Hour Nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Float Requirements: Will need to float within the scope to meet facility needs and may float between similar units.

Responsibilities

• Administer nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals and report any changes to the healthcare team promptly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities accurately in Epic.
• Participate in emergency response as needed, especially during hurricane season.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of medical/surgical telemetry nursing experience required.
• Licensure: Valid South Carolina nursing license or a Compact license required prior to start date.
• Certifications:
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • NIH stroke certification preferred.
• Trauma Level Experience: Not applicable.
• Special Requirements: Telemetry competency is required, and previous charge experience is preferred. Experience in a community hospital setting is also preferred.

Additional Information

This position is within an acute care hospital setting with a total of 286 staffed beds. Parking is provided at no cost, and a uniform color of royal blue is required.

Note: Travelers may not confirm a new or extended assignment during hurricane season (June through November), as all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during this time.
