Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CVOR Tech to join our team. This position involves working within a dynamic Cardiovascular/Thoracic environment, with a focus on Surgical Services, specifically in Transplant and Robotics.

Schedule

• Weekend: Friday to Sunday
• Shift: Night shifts - 3 x 12-hour shifts (18:30 - 07:00)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the surgical procedures within the CVOR department.
• Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal patient care.
• Float within the facility and to the Main OR as needed, adhering to scope of practice.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVOR Tech role is required.
• First-time travelers are accepted; a clinical screen will determine fit based on Piedmont guidelines.

Compliance and Orientation

• Full compliance is required to start on time. Non-compliance may result in a delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.
• Maximum RTO (Requested Time Off) is 7 days.
• If one major holiday occurs during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work. If two major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of those holidays.
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.

Additional Information

Locals are accepted at the same rate. Orientation hours will vary based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment).
