Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in the Labor and Delivery unit. The qualified candidate will be responsible for caring for laboring mothers, assisting with deliveries, and providing immediate care to newborns as well as post-delivery care for mothers.
General Job Duties
- Care for laboring mothers.
- Assist with deliveries.
- Provide immediate care for newborns.
- Offer post-delivery care for mothers.
Equipment Used
- Computerized system: Meditech
- Fetal monitoring system: GE/Centricity
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
- Current Hawaii RN license (active by the start of the assignment).
- Certifications: BLS & NRP required; STABLE & Advanced FM recommended.
Shift Information
This position involves variable shifts, including day and night schedules, with 12-hour shifts (36 hours weekly) following an initial orientation period. The RN will also be required to take scheduled on-call shifts at least once per month. Please note that there is no guarantee of hours or shift preference.
Additional Requirements
- Holiday coverage is required.
