Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in a 12-bed Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care for various diagnoses including respiratory illnesses, renal conditions, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell disease, and cystic fibrosis.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to floating policies to ensure optimal staffing and patient care across units.

Position Details

• Type: Night Shift (3 shifts of 12 hours, from 19:00 - 07:00)
• Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend and holiday required.
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Time Off: Approval for up to 40 hours of time off.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Epic experience is required for this position.
• A valid Virginia nursing license is required (can submit with license pending).
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:4.
