About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position requires a commitment of 3x12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with staffing ratios of 1:6. Every other weekend is a mandatory requirement for this role, and the candidate must be willing to float within the scope to meet facility needs.

Unit Details

• New unit, currently building from the ground up.
• Equipped with bedside monitoring technology for telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry.
• Charge responsibilities are shared between stepdown and the designated unit.
• Current capacity: 18 beds.
• Off-shift management is not scheduled, but leadership is available for consultation during off hours via phone.
• 24/7 house supervisor coverage.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN, specifically in Medical-Surgical Telemetry.
• Active SC license or Compact license required prior to starting.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience in telemetry, including the interpretation of dysrhythmias, is essential.
• Community hospital experience is preferred.

Additional Information

• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted.
• Across the duration of the contract, the facility has the flexibility to call off one shift every two weeks.
• All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application.
• The facility may accommodate block scheduling requests, approval is required but not guaranteed.

Travelers should be informed that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this poses a significant concern, it is advisable not to confirm any new or extended assignments during this period.
