Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to patients with various wound-related conditions. This role involves assessing, planning, and delivering care that promotes optimal patient healing and well-being.
Shift Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 0730 - 1600
- One Saturday shift per month required
- Every third weekend required
- Every other holiday as needed
Qualifications
- Required Certifications: BLS, WCC
- Preferred Certifications: ACLS, WOCN
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
- Hospital experience required
- Travel experience required
- Cerner EMR proficiency required
Skills and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and responsibilities:
- Expertise in handling HAPI and Stage I-IV pressure ulcers
- Conducting comprehensive wound and ulcer assessments
- Managing acute and chronic pressure injuries
- Handling common and rare dermatologic conditions, including necrotizing fasciitis
- Executing new ostomy placements and related care
- Using specialized equipment such as wound vacs and novel therapies
- Utilizing camera photography for wound documentation
Patient Care Focus
The Wound Care RN will work with patients experiencing a variety of diagnoses, including:
- Routine pressure injuries
- New and chronic wound conditions
- Dermatologic conditions
Additional Information
Please note that all employees are required to receive the Flu vaccine.
