Description

Bronchoscopy Technician

Unit Details

The unit specializes in various procedures, including but not limited to:

  • Bronchoscopy
  • Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)
  • Navigational Bronchoscopic Procedures

Call Requirements

The position includes on-call responsibilities, requiring coverage for:

  • 1 to 2 days a week
  • 1 weekend per month

Floating Requirements

Staff may be required to float within their scope of practice and to other locations as needed.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required. The unit is open to first-time travelers.

Offer Process

After acceptance, the manager will review the candidate's profile within 48 hours to determine fit based on unit needs, schedule, and expertise.

Compliance

Full compliance is mandatory to ensure timely start dates. Failure to comply may result in a two-week delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Holiday Work Requirements

Travelers are expected to work during major holidays as outlined below:

  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving/Black Friday
  • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
  • New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall within the period, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall within the assignment, two must be worked.

Orientation Information

The number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the length of the contract.

Local Candidates

Local candidates are accepted and will receive the same rate as traveling professionals.
