Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide general nursing care to patients within the medical-surgical unit, focusing on delivering high-quality care to meet the diverse needs of patients.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist with the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Provide support and education to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in training and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
Work Schedule
This position requires night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00. There is no block scheduling in this role.
