Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Oncology Registered Nurse to join our team for a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional nursing care to patients with cancer, focusing on their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Administer chemotherapy and other prescribed treatments as per established protocols.
Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions during treatment.
Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and supportive care options.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families coping with cancer diagnoses.

Qualifications

Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in an oncology setting.
Current certifications in Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) are required; Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification is highly preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Scheduling and Shift Information

This position will require availability to work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 5:00 PM. Weekend scheduling is not required.

Start Date

The successful candidate will begin work as soon as possible.
