Description
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specialized in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) to join our team. This role will involve providing high-quality respiratory care in a fast-paced NICU environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to neonates.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Educate families and staff on respiratory issues and treatment plans.
- Document patient progress and treatment in accordance with facility policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, with a preference for NICU experience.
- Registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
- Compliance with all related certifications and professional standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts as needed within the facility and scope of practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Schedule:
Nights - 3 shifts of 12 hours each (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend coverage required every other week.
Orientation and Compliance:
Full compliance is required to ensure timely start dates. Orientation hours may vary based on assignment length. If not compliant in time, there could be a delay in start date due to orientation schedules.
Holidays:
Travellers are expected to work during major holidays as outlined below:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving/Black Friday
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays occur, the traveler must work both, and for three holidays, attendance is required for two.
