We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to join our float pool for various Intensive Care and Intermediate Care Units. This position involves providing critical care in a fast-paced environment that may include the following units:

• Medical ICU
• Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU
• Coronary Care Unit
• Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1)
• Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU
• Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit (COVID)
• Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit
• Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit
• Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit
• ED Boarders

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU and intermediate care settings.
• Utilize nursing assessment skills to monitor patient conditions and respond to changes effectively.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including float policies and weekend/holiday work requirements.

Schedule

• Nights, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Provide coverage for two out of three winter holidays, including Thanksgiving, Black Friday, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Must have experience with Epic electronic health record system.
• Ability to float to various units as needed.
• Virginia nursing license required, pending applications may also be considered.
