Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced MS/Tele Registered Nurse (RN) for our fast-paced and high-volume Emergency Department border care setting. This position involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses, specifically in the MS/Tele overflow area.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in a high-volume Emergency Department.
• Monitor and manage patients with various medical conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient safety initiatives and quality improvement projects.
• Float as necessary within the specialty, including MS/Tele units to support team needs.

Schedule

This position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week, with a schedule of 07:00 to 19:30. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend, along with mandatory holiday coverage as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing role is required, but first-time travelers with strong experience will be considered.

Patient Ratio

The patient care ratio is 1:5 during weekdays and 1:4 on weekends.

Uniform

Scrub colors required for this role are navy blue.

Additional Information

All scheduling requests must be discussed and approved at the time of the offer. Requests should not exceed one major and one minor holiday during the fall and winter seasons.
