Job Overview
This role involves supporting surgical teams in a fast-paced environment, primarily focusing on orthopedics, spine, and robotic surgeries. The position requires an individual who can scrub and circulate in surgeries, ensuring efficiency and patient safety.
Schedule
- Days/Evenings: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
- Weekend rotation: Every 6 weeks as needed
- Holiday requirement: 1 during summer/winter as needed
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage the surgical instruments and equipment for each procedure.
- Assist in the transfer and positioning of patients before and after surgery.
- Maintain the sterile field and assist the surgeon and nursing staff during surgical procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Must hold a current Massachusetts license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS-AHA) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS-AHA).
- Proficiency in using EPIC software.
- Strong background in orthopedic, spine, and robotic surgeries.
- CNOR certification is preferred.
Additional Information
Orientation period: 1 week. Candidates who have been separated from the organization for over 6 months will be considered. Please note that this position mandates the use of in-hours scrubs only.
All assignments come with a guaranteed 72 hours biweekly, exclusive of any on-call hours worked.
