Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team. This position requires a compassionate professional who is committed to providing high-quality patient care through the administration of radiation therapy treatments.
Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
- Ensure the accurate delivery of radiation doses and monitor patient responses during treatment.
- Maintain and operate radiotherapy equipment in adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Assist in patient positioning and provide support to alleviate anxiety during treatment sessions.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Document patient treatment plans and progress accurately in medical records.
- Stay updated with the latest developments and techniques in radiation therapy.
Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Radiation Therapist is required.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (T) is mandatory.
- Valid state license to practice as a Radiation Therapist is required at the time of submission.
Work Schedule
This position typically follows a shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
