Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in a medical/surgical unit focused on innovative nursing practices and new technology. The ideal candidate will participate in providing compassionate care to our patients while embracing and adapting to advanced medical innovations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care to individuals in a 32-bed medical/surgical unit.
• Utilize advanced technology and equipment to enhance patient care.
• Work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare team.
• Float to other units as needed to meet staffing requirements.
• Participate in self-scheduling within assigned groups, rotating every scheduling period.
• Adhere to holiday rotation assignments, expected to work designated holidays.

Shift Information

• Shift: Night Shift (3x12 hours, from 19:00 to 07:00)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• First-time applicants are welcome.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Willingness to work one summer and one winter holiday.
• Must be able to work within a local radius of 50 miles.
• Pending licenses are not accepted.

Additional Information

On the first day, the RN will complete drug screening at Employee Health before beginning their scheduled shifts the following week. The RN will be responsible for adhering to the established nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.
