Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit. This position will involve working 12-hour shifts, either day or night, with alternating weekends and occasional holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
- Utilize the NextStage CVVH machine while managing patient care.
- Administer treatments and medications as prescribed by the medical team.
- Monitor patient status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery or Acuity Adaptable area preferred.
- Previous CVICU experience is mandatory.
Additional Requirements
Applicants must pass a telemetry test prior to beginning employment. The position is conducted in a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
Work Schedule
Shifts consist of 12 hours and may vary between day (07:00 - 19:30) and night (19:00 - 07:30) schedules. Weekend and holiday shifts are part of the regular schedule.
