Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

The Emergency Department is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in trauma care and emergency services.

Position Overview

The role involves caring for admitted patients in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing high-quality care to individuals in need of urgent medical attention.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, including IV medications, while adhering to the seven medication rights.
• Document and communicate clinical findings accurately and efficiently.
• Provide care to patients, many of whom may require admission to the hospital.
• Deliver care under a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5.
• Float to adult PCUs and ED Holding as needed based on staffing requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse; preference for candidates with Level 1 trauma experience.
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC.
• Travel experience strongly preferred; candidates with 2 or more years in Level 1 settings will be considered.
• Candidates must have TNCC certification prior to submission. NIH certification may pend until compliance documents are due.
• Must be willing to work weekends as needed, with weekend shifts defined as any shift on Saturday and Sunday.
• No locals will be accepted within a 100-mile radius.

Work Schedule

Shifts are available in a 3x12-hour format (night shifts). Some flexibility may be required based on facility needs, including potential floating to various units.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed hours based on contracted schedule, with provisions for facility to call off up to three times during a 13-week assignment.
• No on-call duties are required.
