Position Details:

• Schedule:
  • Rotating days, including weekends
  • Overnight call from 5:30 PM to 6:30 AM, 2-3 nights per month
  • 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Total of 40 hours per week
• Daily Workload: 7-8 echocardiograms per day

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of echocardiography experience
  • At least 2 years of acute inpatient echo experience in a Level 1 trauma facility
• Skills:
  • Proficient in a variety of echocardiography procedures including transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs), stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs); skilled in 3D echo and strain imaging
  • Comprehensive knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and pathology
  • Strict adherence to lab standards and protocols for diagnostic accuracy
  • Expertise in optimizing image quality through advanced scanning techniques and effective use of ultrasound contrast agents
  • Ability to manage high-volume workflows effectively in a critical care setting
  • Strong patient care and communication skills, ensuring comfort and understanding during procedures
  • Excellent time management skills for timely completion of studies
  • Commitment to collaborative work culture, actively participating in feedback sessions and educational opportunities with colleagues
  • Compliance with ASE (American Society of Echocardiography) and IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) standards
